I'm fully aware of the Federal emissions law governing these vehicle systems. Conversely, I'm fortunate enough to live in a state where diesel passenger vehicles are exempt from emissions testing. The DPF needs cleaning because there is stuff that doesn't get burned like metals from engine wear that are in the engine oil and the additives in the oil. Typically going "Stage I" with your car was doing software. Stage II was software with exhaust/intake work. Stage III is those and a bigger turbo, etc etc. Glad you like the tune. I have the Stage II, but with the delete. No more regens, and the car sounds so much nicer.
