We’ve updated the AP World History: Modern document-based question (DBQ) and long essay question (LEQ) rubrics for the 2023-24 school year. This change only affects the DBQ and LEQ scoring, with no change to the course or the exam: the exam format, course framework, and skills assessed on the exam all remain unchanged. **The AP World History exam was revised in 2017, so any questions from before then are not representative of the current exam format or rubric. You can still use prior questions to practice, however DBQs will have more than 7 documents, the LEQ prompts are worded differently, and the rubrics are completely different.UPDATED WITH THE NEW SEPTEMBER 2023 APUSH DBQ RUBRIC. The College Board has released revised DBQ rubric guidelines for the AP History courses that will take effect immediately for the 2023-2024 academic year. I have revised my rubric to meet the new guidelines and am providing other resources to help teachers implement the new format.
