It is similar in name and appearance to the Combat Action Badge. The ESB is awarded to Soldiers who have completed testing and are not Infantry, Special Forces, or Medical Branch.After candidates are briefed, they should move to their assigned starting stake. The candidates then proceed through the course, following the instructions provided on FB Form 20-R (EIB Test Requirements Sheet, Night Land Navigation). See Figure 5-4 (page 5-8) for an example of a completed requirements sheet for this task summary.
