I had the normal J37 two months ago but the carbon fiber had cracked. Thankfully, it was replaced with j37 low. IMO, I feel more secure with J37 low since it has meshes on top and not full lenoweave. Although, it is harder to lace it up to get the right tightness. But common sense would suggest that your experience in these may vary from "eh" <---> "ouch". The first and most important thing is to check whether that outsole can grip consistently on the court you play on; there are good reasons why you almost never see that type of rubber pattern design on modern court shoes anymore. 1. I also notice that they usually veer towards risky gimmicky design rather than an iterative approach, sadly (form over function). Reminds me of Anta.Some other older boost shoes like the T-Mac Millenium that you may still be able to find. If you like shoes that are stiffer, very supportive, and tank like, another option is the Anta KT6. Cushioning isn't as good as Boost, but should do the job nonetheless. Wade 808 V2: plays like a kobe 9, but has some extra weight to it. Ultras add a ton of cushion. All versions of the 808s don't have a lot of spring to them.The ONLY downside (since it will fit simply better if you have wide feet and you can avoid sizing up by 1/2) is that the XDR rubber doesn't grip as well indoors (I'd say 10-15% less). But my feet are literally almost too wide (2E) to not buy EP/PF/2E versions of certain shoes like Jordan 36 (notoriously narrow).
