The name Comanche is derived from a Ute word meaning ‘anyone who wants to fight me all the time.’ They were one of the first tribes to acquire horses from the Spanish. Comanche is located on the 4th floor of the museum, to the right of the main lobby. The informational panels which accompany the museum exhibit are currently being updated.
