I just got Ds2 for the first time, however I have played most of the other fromsoft games already. I usually always use the moonlight greatsword on my first playthrough, so after looking it up I believe I need to kill freja after using a bonfire ascetic to aquire the weapon...Moonlight greatsword, magic or enchanted? According to this, going enchanted gives me 380 PHYSICAL damage, and A scaling, while magic would give me 304 magic and S scaling. out of all the available greatswords, Bluemoon Greatsword is the strongest, but switch the infusion to Lightning and bring Brass Knuckle Ring and/or the Repair spell.
