Nov 30, 2022 · LACEY, Wash. – Sergeant Armando Garcia Jr., a member of the U.S. Army, was chosen by Saint Martin’s University as its 14th recipient of the America’s Service Heroes Scholarship. The award was announced on Nov. 5, 2022, at the Saint Martin’s Gala, the University’s annual major scholarship fundraising event. The Hero Student Scholarship is open to any undergraduate student legally living in the United States. All applicants must be minimum 18 years of age. Those are selected will receive $5, 000 per year until they graduate. Entries must be submitted no later than 7 April 2020. This scholarship is administered by Scholarship America.• One D.J.’s Hero Kim Courtnage Memorial Scholarship, underwritten by The Kim Foundation • Two D.J.’s Hero Salvation Army Scholarships, underwritten by D.J.’s Hero Awards Luncheon net proceeds The scholarships will be presented at the D.J.’s Hero Awards Luncheon on May 3, 2022.
