If it starts when you jump across the starter solenoid than the starter is OK. I do not think there is a relay in the factory circuit on the JD 2950. JD made a relay KIT for many of the tractors.Secondly, you’ve to check the voltage, but that requires pulling out the instrument panel from the dashboard. So, take out the panel and make sure the key is set in the “ run” position but keep the vehicle stagnant.
