May 6, 2016 · I did all the usual checks and decided it was the coil. I had kept the blown up 540V so I swapped out the coils, this is when I noticed the blown up engine didn't have a igniter and the engine I had bought used did have an igniter. I guessing the coil from the blown up engine has an internal igniter. Kawasaki fc540v-ks00. so I have this Kawasaki 17hp beast. It's in my gt262 Deere. It's the later version so no igniter. Started having starting issues after heated up. Let sit for 2 hrs or so, run fine till you shutoff. Then have to let sit again. Now 2 weeks later, runs for 2 hrs or so and dies until cool.
