I received the Gravity Series 800 as a birthday present weeks ago. It arrived in a beaten up box with plastic wrap holding it together. After opening the box, the parts appeared to be in good shape so I began assembly. Two parts were missing from the box so I submitted a customer service form. Masterbuilt claimed they would reply in 24-48 hours.

My solution was to check all of the pressure switches, specifically the hopper lid and ash bin. I opened the ash bin door and held the switch all the way in (wearing a heat resistant glove, it was hot), fan kicked on after a few seconds. Closed the door, no fan. MB Gravity 800 Fan Issues. I just got the Masterbuilt Gravity 800 and started with the first couple runs. It seems the fan is having issues running. It will run for a bit, I'll watch the temperature rise, and it'll shut off, sometimes before hitting temp, and the temp just starts dropping. It doesn't show any errors on the screen.Absolutely can grill with the lid open - the 800 comes with a griddle and you pretty much always keep the lid open when griddling.
