Humane Society begins $50 adoption fee event. From Sunday, Oct. 8 until Sunday, Oct. 15, adoption fees at the humane society will be only $50.All dogs adopted from Midcoast Humane have been spayed or neutered, microchipped, and tested for heartworm and Lyme disease. They receive preventative heartworm treatment (6 months+) as well as rabies (12 weeks+), distemper, bordetella, and canine influenza vaccinations.Midcoast Humane accepts stray and surrendered animals from the towns with which it hold contracts. Each animal that comes through our doors is given food, comfort, full medical care, and will be put up for adoption. If you live in one of our contracted towns and need to surrender your pet, you must schedule a surrender appointment.
