Thread starter. #1. Well the known secondary battery issues wreaked havoc on my Jeep during a Rally competition. It malfunctioned and siphoned all the power from my large battery, causing my Jeep to literally die without warning numerous times throughout the rally. I am so disappointed, as it impeded my ability to effectively compete.After ESS ceased working, dealer warranty replaced main battery at (nearly) exactly 3 years after build date. (Jeep at sat on lot for ~ 1/2 year before I bought it w/ 28 miles; guess a stripped MT Rubicon wasn't popular ). Aux battery still seems ok now 5+ years after build.
