Zombie cannot open double wooden doors, but they can bash through them, breaking them permanently. A double wooden door cannot be barricaded like a normal door. It is also possible to break down a double wooden door with a melee weapon. Zeds cannot break through non player placed walls/fences, they can break through non player placed doors and windows except for a few like metal shutters. I did this my first play through. and yes. it is terribly boring in the woods (or the farm for that matter). Now..once they have small game hunting enabled, then the woods becomes interesting again. setting snares, skinning game, smoking meats. Also can't wait for NPC's. That will add such a new dynamic to the game.If I remember correctly, log walls are stronger at low levels of carpentry, but as you get higher the plank walls surpass them. I don't think the difference is ever too massive, but once you get carpentry up it's probably a smart idea to start making proper walls due to material usage, unless you literally have a forest directly next to where you're building, maybe.
