S, Once the water temp gets near 52 or so the cold light comes on and the cell shuts off. The cell's temp sensor is part of the Flow Switch assy, which are known to be flaky. You could replace it, but I would not screw with it until the water temp is above 55 degrees on a continual basis. In short, we just had the pool opened (we use a company to open and close the pool and I do the servicing in season) and the flow switch on our IC-20 is red though there is plenty of flow. My Intellichlor does not appear to be making chlorine. I have done all of the troubleshooting I can find and there are no obvious signs of any problem - power is fine, pump is fine, flow is same as always, salt level is appropriate (intellichlor & aquachek strip are the same level apart as they always are), all the lights are green, water temp is fine.The red/green flashing light means the unit is trying to run the salt test, but until you have flow it will not pass. ...
