Yes the 4S is a notch above the Ritz... though neither one is anywhere near top of the brand quality wise. The real question as you've realized already is is the 4S worth the difference. That time of year the south will be better if you're planning to hangout on the beach or at the pool. SO - if you want more quiet and seclusion and general "loveliness" - then go for the Ritz.
