This study investigates the students' perception and attitude towards the Mandatory Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) of the Senior High School students in Matanao National High School. This study uses a descriptive-quantitative, non-experimental design using a correlational technique.Basic Camp is not Basic Training. It is a four-week summer leadership training camp that enables Cadets that joined ROTC late to enter the Advanced Course (300-400 level courses) and compete for an ROTC scholarship. All Cadets who attend Basic Camp are paid along with all transportation, lodging, and food provided by the Army.Through the Cadet Initial Entry Training Course, students without ROTC Basic Course experience can examine the Army without incurring an obligation, and qualify for Advanced Course entry. The Army observes these students and determines their officer potential in a leadership-oriented, challenging, and motivating 28-day training program.
