I have lived in Kansas City for over 23 years. We found this place on a Sunday afternoon drive. Quite a pleasant surprise. There are hiking paths, lots of native plants and animals outside and inside we were fascinated with all the snakes, Eagles, owls, turtles and spiders. So glad we happened onto this place.For people leaving from Kansas City, the byway begins approximately 45 minutes away in Leavenworth, Kansas, at the intersection of K-7 and K-92.
