Once again, guided tours of the prairie are back via a 10 passenger van. With seating so limited, a van tour podcast has been posted here. Van tours are available daily through August 27th. We were looking forward to seeing the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve since only 4% remain in North America - the other 96% of the Tallgrass prairie has been developed or plowed. We knew the trails were open 24 hr / 7 days a week and the visitor center wouldn't open until 8:30am.
